When an Extrovert Turning into an Introvert: Solo Cafe Crawl

Navigating Me-Time: A Personal Reflection

After shopping at a Lotte Department store, I set out to find a nearby cafe. Luckily, this neighborhood boasted several chic and inviting coffee spots. Sorting through the map search results, I homed in on two establishments. The first was Yeonwho, which I showcased in last week's blog post. The second cafe that caught my eye was ARRIS COFFEE STAND, known for its cute dessert selection. It was around 1:10 PM when I strolled in.

Stepping inside the cafe, I spotted groups of people enjoying a coffee break together, probably sneaking away from work for a bit. As the sole solo customer during the lunch rush, I opted for the Aris Latte, a signature cream latte dusted with cinnamon sugar along the mug's edge. The cookie I selected had a striking resemblance to the ones from Levain. I was like ‘Maybe I should've gone for a plain black coffee.’ The cookies were sweet, so a less sugary option could've been a better fit.

I'm not exactly certain when, why, or how I transitioned into someone who prizes having my own time. I used to love hanging out with friends to recharge, but things shifted, and now I cherish solo time more. It's been a journey of self-discovery. Over time, I delved deep into my heart, questioning my desires, what truly brings me joy, and other introspective reflections. How about you? How do you find your peace and quiet?
