Friendship, Coffee, and a Chocolate Prank: “These Stones Look Delicious!”

It's been a couple of years since I saw the friends I grew up with. After moving to New York for college, we hardly kept up with each other's lives. Thanks to social media, we occasionally peek into each other's worlds, which finally led us to meet up.

I searched for a cafe near my parents' house and chose this one because of its unique vibes. When I walked into the coffee shop, one of its desserts caught my eye—stones. They looked like a set of stones and were literally named "stones," but they turned out to be chocolates.

Three of us arrived and were waiting for the rest of our friends. We decided to fool the last one to arrive with the stone-like chocolates. When she finally came in and sat down, she wondered why there were stones on the tray. I said, "They're cute, so I picked them up on the way here to bring home." Then, one of us said, "They look delicious, by the way," and another chimed in, "Yeah, why don't you taste one then?"

I know our conversation sounds a bit silly, but we were just trying to see her reaction. Her eyes widened when one of us put a piece of the "stone" into their mouth. We fooled her, yay!
